The Great Panic

This chapter starts off with an interview from someone in The United States of America and he was talking about how he could see everything happening from a blimp. He said that traffic was stopped on I-80 and that people were basically shooting through the windows of cars giving the zombies a free for all. The rest of the chapter goes on to talk about all the different countries reactions with all the zombies. The government is trying to keep people from knowing what is going on. They aren't even telling the army what is going on, all the army knows is that they are fighting. The government is afraid that if the army knows then they will go home and try to save their families instead of everyone else.

The part that intrigued me the most in this chapter was when they were talking about the stats and how one in every one in ten people will die. So they start choosing who will die in the groups of ten people. This part sticks out to me because its unfair because no one really wants to die and theres no fair way to pick who's going to survive and who's going to die. Also, most likely they aren't going to pick who dies anyway and its going to come as a shock to all of them.
