Final Project Idea
For my final project I think I am going to do a Prezi presentation? I am going to do a run down about what the controversy is about. Then run around some stories that are centered around the main problem "Guns in households that contain children." I will talk about my relationship with Sydney's mom and what all she has told me throughout our relationship. Sooo yeah!

Final Project Idea
My project will discuss what are super bugs, what are we doing right now to deal with them, and what can we do in the future? Id like to explain what there are and give a definition of exactly what super bugs are. Then once we know what they are, then id look at the different types of super bugs and how super bugs are just simple bacteria that are mutated from overuse of antibiotics. Next explain our practices of dealing with this super-bug. Lastly, tell of the future practices that are being discussed to fix this super bug, and give ideas on what we should based on the information explained. For this project Id like to interview an actual doctor and get his/her point of view on the subject and ask him/her those three simple questions, just mentioned. I feel interviewing a doctor who has seen this bug in the work place will give that scare factor to the audience and get them thinking on how serious this problem really is. Id also like to make a model of Streptococcus pyogenes and show how it looks normally and how it was mutated, in super bug form. Not every person can learn simply by getting thrown all this information but I believe this visual give the listener a genre understanding of what bacteria is and what antibiotics do in order to mutate a certain bacteria to make it a super bug. This will engage the audience because Step is a common bacterial infection that we all get from time to time. This topic and project interested me because it will explain what this super bug is and how easy it is for us, as a population, to get these super bugs and be in life threatening situations. Also, our generation is all about being clean freaks and over using the antibiotic which in the end makes us even more sick.

Final Project
For my paper I decided to argue that the penalties for graffiti are too harsh, and that they should be reduced. I talked about how legal walls can stem the flow of graffiti into the city, but ultimately graffiti will inhibit a city. For my project I'm going to make a short film, documenting a local writer in the process of doing tags and throws. I'll have narration throughout the video, asking the writer different questions. I'll shed light on what graffiti writers really do, and show how it's not a detriment to society, and the current laws against graffiti shouldn't be as harsh as they are. The laws should be made to get the graffiti removed, not the writer imprisoned and forever branded a felon, depending on the circumstances.
Final Project
My argumentative essay was over the placebo effect and whether
the effect is deemed to be deceitful or not. Also, going into depth the
research of every single type of placebo. For example it is not always just a
sugar pill or saline injection, it can be many more simplified things. Such as,
lab tests, physical exams or checkups. Those
being seen as more acceptable or honest. For this next project I plan to make a
video explaining the different types of placebos and the popularity of those
certain types of placebos. How many doctors actually utilize placebos? Also, if
doctors see the use of placebos as dishonest or is they believe it is one of
the most honest ways to treat certain patients. I believe this will relate to college
students, starting off because we all go to the doctors, we all get sick, sometimes
injured or go through other medical problems. It’s extremely important to be
aware of the possible treatments you could potentially receive or bring to
light maybe a situation where you were administered a placebo and were unaware.
Maybe that is okay for you because it helps or maybe you completely hate the
thought of the whole concept. Otherwise it is called a placebo for a reason,
you aren’t going to know you are receiving one but maybe the simpler treatments
of a placebo like lab test, etc. could be easier to identify if that is what
happening. I hope it will be easy to find some things to put together this
video but I don’t know how easy this will be!
Final Project
My last research paper was over the topic of divorce. To be more specific the negative effects of divorce on children and how parents can help make the negative effects more positive. For my final project I want to create a short video. In my video I will interview different people (some from school and some from outside of school). In my video I plan to ask them questions like are your parents divorced? Do you think divorce has any negative effects on children and if so name one? Do you think parents can help their children when they get divorced to make the effects more positive. This will engage my target audience of college students because there are a handful of college students with divorced parents and if their parents aren't divorce they at least know someone with divorced parents or they will get married and have a divorce and need to know some tips on how to deal with children. Also it will relate to college age students because there will be college aged students answering the questions in my video. I have also talked to some of the people in this class and their parents are also divorced so I am sure they will find it interesting.I am interested in this topic because my parents are divorced and I believe if my parents would have handled how they told me and the fighting differently that I would have gotten more positive effects out of the divorce rather than negative.
Final Presentation
My final presentation will be based on life after playing in the NFL, and how traumatic brain injury effects players lives. For this I will be using Prezi as my layout. Throughout the presentation I will provide visuals which I can discuss relating to my topic. Along with that there will also be a number of statistics and facts about NFL players afflicted from traumatic brain injury. Like my research and argumentative papers, I will also focus on the psychological and physical effects NFL players could face later in life. In an effort to strengthen my argument I will also talk about some of the struggles unrelated to traumatic brain injury, maybe including a clip from a documentary. The unrelated struggles NFL players have will give a comparison between the players affected from traumatic brain injuries. With visual aid, statistics, and a movie clip I believe this presentation should cater to the learning audience. At the end I hope my presentation will show how traumatic brain injury can have a long term affect on these NFL players lives.
Final Project thing
I was thinking about making a website that show cases some of the things that ISIS is up to and what they think they are trying to do and how they are doing it. I will aslo show some of their propaganda and how they are using it to recruit kids and such. I didn't really understand what youi wanted us to do for this assignment so I am gonna ask some questions after the movie.

William Stephens
Currently
I am working on creating a video for my final project. The video will be based
on a popular new game Fallout 4. I am looking to use the game’s prerelease
video’s to create a video of similar style based of editing and voicing over sections
of the different videos they released. It will cover my research paper over the
placebo effect. Fallout 4 bases its world around a divergence in 1940’s to 1960’s
culture. Hopefully I can find a proper voice change to reflect the sound of a
radio voice from that time. This project aim to engage its target college
audience by incorporating a couple factors, it will have a unique voice over.
Instead of just my voice talking if I can find a voice changer that works it
may be more interesting to listen to. Also there will be images and clips from
the videos to allow the audience to watch and listen. Finally with a unique and
popular theme to tie the entire video together. I am interested in this because
I think I can make it work. Also it will be fun to use my knowledge about video
editing and sound recording. Plus I have played some fallout 4 myself and enjoy
the game. No doubt I will be playing for “research purposes” while working on
my project.
Prezi
My argumentative research paper was about the topic of overpopulation in the world. If the increasing population is a negative effect or a positive. Within my paper I argued that it was a negative effect. I talked about how in the past disease and warfare have always kept the population a consistent level. Now with the advancement of technologies within those two fields, it has increased the average length of life and resulted in the population increasing drastically. As of right now my plan for the presentation is to create a prezi power point and talk about the main points of my argument. I plan on explaining to the class myself how and why the overpopulation of earth is a threat that we all should take into account. My points, like in my research paper, are going to be based around the advancement of warfare and medicine, and how these advancements will create disaster economically, and why we should change current economic systems in place in some countries.
Final Project
My final project will be titled, “Colleges: Does it Matter which
one”. This video will look into if it matters what college you go to. It will
go through the differences of community colleges vs. universities, and
different colleges based on your major. I could interview different people who
have already graduated with a degree, as well as current and dropout college students
on their opinions/advice. Interviewing a college dropout could help look into whether
or not you need to go to some sort of college for the career you want to
pursue. I could ask a variety of
different questions. Now that you have graduated, would you have wished you
would have gone somewhere else for your degree? Do you think that a community
college is just as beneficial as a university? Do you think the college you
attended prepared you well for your major? Is there other ways to get your
specific degree? One of the first things that comes to mind when college gets
brought up is money. Many students have to get more and more loans in order to
pay off school, and those loans could take their entire lives to pay off.
Looking into if the kind of college you go to matters could help save student’s
time and money, and also help them pursue their dreams in the best way
possible. Many colleges do have some of the best departments for specific
degrees, but that doesn’t mean that other colleges might just as good for that
student.

The title for my presentation might be called "How Many Collage Graduates Actually Work In Their Career Field". In my last paper I wrote about how hard it is for college graduates to get a job (even with training/placement services at colleges) without some sort of work experience, such as clinical or internship programs. In this assignment I will be doing a short video, interviewing college grads, to see what they went through looking for employment and where their at in life now. I plan on asking them a variety of questions such as: What is your degree? When did you graduate? Do you work in your degree field? Have you ever? Did you use the training/placement services at your college while in school? Did you have any work experience in this field prior to graduation? Did you do any kind of training or internship programs? Did you have any experience on your resume? Why are you not working in your career field now? Why do you think you were not hired when interviewed? Do you think if you had experience you would have been more likely to get the job? Do you think you are better off at your current place of employment? Do you think college was worth it? If you had any advise for current college students about college what would it be? My audience is going to be directed to students in college now because some of them do not know what they will go through when looking for their first career job.

Short Film
My
previous research was done over the Syrian Refugee Crisis and the Syrian Civil
war. For my final project I want to
create a video that captures everything that has been going on between the
two. I think that it would be very easy
to find video footage and audio from the news stations that have been reporting
on it over the last few years. I am
wondering if I should style it after a question and answer format between
people involved in the crisis or just over a general timeline of the whole
situation. I am leaning toward modeling
the video after a timeline because I think it will be easier for everyone in
the class to follow along with it. I
think the most difficult part will be editing all the video and audio to
exactly how I want it to appear. I want
it to sort of model a movie trailer as well.
A movie trailer that happens to be five minutes long rather than one and
a half. I believe creating a video would
be more engaging for college students rather than giving a speech. Speeches aren’t as fun as making videos as
well, at least in my opinion. For my
video, I also plan on having music in playing in the background at some moments
to lure in the audience just as a movie trailer does. One of the other things I will have to deal
with is creating a good hook for the video.
That’s what a movie trailer is all about; hooking the audience in.

pg.204- The geeky guy stays in the room and researches a bunch of hackers and his parents don't come home very often. He has to make a ladder out of bed sheets, but he doesn't have enough so after he climbs down the building so far he has to keep retying them as he goes down each floor.
Central themes for this chapter are fate and pre-destination.
pg.194- Micro people having trouble killing people because they thought zombies had emotions. They used a radio station to inform and help them get the right information.
pg.216- Blind guy in Japan uses seeing stick to kill zombies. The guy felt like a burden to his family because they were always having to look after hime so he went out into the wilderness. He is a World War II veteran and the bombs that went off close to hime made him blind.
pg.227- They handle themselves and get to a good position dictatorship all these people so they change over their form of government.
China- Navy officers take family on submarine sorta hiding them and they were hunted down. it seems like they are trying to not left information out. We also find out that zombies can survive on the ocean floor.

Last Chapters
In the last two chapters of world war z we figure out what the governments of the world do to finish the zombie hunting days. This is when the solution to the problems are implemented rather than only being talked about among each other. There are also clean-up operations to rid cities of bodies so that the cities look nicer. In the goodbyes chapter its not literally goodbyes. The interviewer is mainly seeing where people have settled down after the war. He just wants to know what they are doing now that everything bad that has happened is over.

World War Z Final Chapters
The ending of the book was definitely a very interesting read. I liked how the book brought up how they trained and used dogs against the zombies. It was even cool that they taught the dogs to not bite the zombies. I also like the part in the last chapter where it takes about the guy that is now addicted to killing people. It showed how much the war really changed him, and kind of foreshadowed how his journey would end.
The conclusion to World War Z
The final chapters:
The books ends with the author trying to get as many aspects to the end of the war. The author is trying to show different aspects, different changes from this traumatic event, like changes in environment, religions, and even economically and how the countries bounced back from this. One one side you have people rejoicing and happy about the end of the war and for others the war is still going on, the event is burned into those peoples minds.
The part that stuck out to me was the in Troy, Montana with a girl named Mary Jo. She talks about who is to blame for what had happened. She's talks how it's the politicians, businessman, the system. Then she continues on and explains we are all the ones to blame we are all the system. Yes they defeat the zombies invasion but they also allowed it to happen. I liked this part cause it was a point of self-realization and taking responsibility for what happened and now looking towards the future.

The ending of the book pretty much is about how everything ended pretty poorly and how everyone around the world handled it. The interviewer gets stories from everyone, those who suffered, thoughts on the overall war and how much it changed everything.
A part that really stuck out to me was the use of dogs, since the dogs can smell the beginnings of becoming a zombie. But it was sad to see that not all the dogs could handle something like that and went crazy. The whole process just seemed sad to me like them being trained at such a young age and being used as decoys.

Last 2 -- LaValle
The whacko explains to the Interviewer that he beat the zombies when the US war had ended because he didn't want his administration to fall. They knew the fighting wasn't over, but they also wanted to give their people the chance to go home safely and get settled, to calm down. The overseas campaigns are moving along, and the war still wasn't over, but the people seemed to have learned their lesson (DO YOUR PART). Up in Canada Jesika's story goes along with the saying "bad things can happen to good people". Later the radio kept chattering with idiotic men and its amazing that these dimwits survived but not intelligent good people like her parents. Good thing she's not resentful. At the end there is no joy that everything is basically over. Everyone seems so emotionally and physically, and mentally drained. I wonder if things ever go back to normal.
One of the main themes in this book was fear. It was very different for me to read this type of book. I am more of a Wicked, Twilight or 50 Shades girl so something about zombies was way out of my comfort zone. It was a good book however, dry in some parts and hard to follow hence the lack of a main protagonist. However, it went by fast and group discussions always helped! :)
Game Over Man, Game Over!
The ending of the book the author gather stories to include different aspects from the end of the war, things that happened to the environment. Complete changes in certain countries such as religion or economic outcome. He also includes stories from the people how they think the Z war went. If it is truly over and if anyone can be considered a true survivor. He also talks to those who mentally suffered in the war.
The section that really stuck out to me was the bit about Sean. How after the war he became addicted to killing after killing so many zombies. However he goes about trying to find legal and lawful ways to kill people even suggesting at the end he would rather kill himself than just become a serial killer. This brings to mind that some people just couldn't handle the mental strain the Z war had. However they are still just good people.

The Last 2 Chapters
The last two chapter basically talk about how the ending of the war was not the greatest. he goes around interviewing the countries from throughout the book seeing how they are doing and whats been going on there. For example when he interviews Father Ryzhkov from Russia he tells him that they have become a religious country and that he's the one who started it. In Vermont they know the war is far from over, but they want to give their people a chance to go home so that the don't fall apart like Churchill's army.
The part that I found interesting from the last two chapters was in chapter 8 when they were in Ainsworth Nebraska and the person they were interviewing said that they used dogs for triage in the war against zombies. I thought this was interesting because I've never thought about using dogs in war before and I think its cool how they can tell the difference in who needs help more.

Total War Juan
The first interview is with a Finish general who commands a dirigible and doesnt like to fight. He talks about how the zombies are total war and no other nation can phsically do that because there are limitations to the human body. The next interview is with a soldier who is in Denver Colorado, he talks abou how the army went from high tech gadgets and gismos to the basics a good rifle and a lobo. He talks about the first real victory we hear about in hope New Mexico were the soldiers fought all night and made it out alive. This next interview is about the k-9 units that opperated during world war z and how they were the best because dogs and because they did so much stuff to help the infintry man. A priest turns russia in to a riligious state by killing people who are about to zombify in the name of the lord and purification of the soul. Their are still a butt ton of zombies underwater and the navy is dealing with them using old time scuba gear. Paris underground was a bad place to be the clearing out of the undergroundwas just down right terrible air was bad water was bad everything bad. The last interview of this chapter is with a soldier who started his fight in hope new mexico and he made it all the way across america to yonkers new york. The soldiers that fought their way across the United states they fought desiese, traps, zombies, other people, and the feral animal packs that made it were nothing to scoff at.

The Last Chapters
The last chapters of this book talk about how terrible the ending was, especially for the people underground in Paris. These people couldn't use firearms because the air was explosive, some got night vision goggles but were better off with flashlights because there was a lack of batteries. Then the last chapter goes on about how everywhere is happy and peaceful since the zombies were gone and the war was over, claiming that it feels like a dream. A lot of the vets are still really badly messed up from it but thats what is expected.
A part that I really enjoyed about these was about the dogs who helped out. There was a whole place merely for these dogs ran by a man named Darnell Hackworth, who took care of retired war dogs. They tried to make a rule that when a dog gets hurt they just blow it up but luckily that didn't pass!

World War Z chapters 8 & 9
In this book it seems like they are always sending people to die. Making things harder they don't have a clear safe zone, they just wait for zombies to come attack them at all hours. One smart thing they did do was use dogs as decoys for the echo to get zombies to move in a different direction. The toxic smell in the air was horrible to breath in. It got to the point of the air being so flammable they stopped using guns because they were afraid one spark would blow them up. In the end a man explained that the people won the war against the zombies and women began using their uterus to repopulate.
What interest me about this book is the fact that people turn on each other, if people would have worked together in this book, some many people wouldn't have died.

When the Chaplin in Russia had decided that God had spoken
to him. God told him that there would be no more sinning or souls resigned to
hell. But he wasn’t going to be able to do this by himself. So some of the
country men volunteered to help him. These people chose to be his shepherds. The
shepherds where the only ones that could bear the cross and release trapped
souls from the Zombies infected bodies. Others heard what he was doing and why.
So they decided to follow his footsteps in their towns. This was called a “Final
Purification”, which gave people in Russia faith, hope, and a sense of direction.
The Chaplin felt if he could build people’s faith, then he could strengthen
their country. I think he realized people where giving up. And the only way to
resolve the suicides and people shooting one another, was to give them hope and
change their outlook on life. Zombie’s where still coming in off the beaches by
the millions every time the surf rolled in. I think the roll of politics where
more involved in this situation. But they did whatever it took to help their
country build and survive. Even the president of Russia declared himself head
of the church. The president organized priests into lines of death squads.
To purify the living dead. I
think they did this so people would grow to believe how strong their faith
could be. This made the people of Russia
more loyal to their president and country.

When the tail of a C-130 blew off and
it crashed into the swamps. And when the lady came over the radio helping him
to find his destination. It really started to get intense. I was starting to
get into the story. It became interesting how he had first lost his since of
ground. And had forgot all of his training techniques. This ties into the
beginning of the story, this was all about survival, staying alive, fighting
zombies, and trying to save the world. I
just wanted to grab a rifle and help him fight them off.
This all happened when the pilot had
left his seat and was using the head. He had no idea what was happening. Until
he heard a boom and turned around to zip his pants. And saw that the rear on
the helicopter had been blown off. He could see then that they were going to
crash. So he jumped out from the rear of the helicopter, pulled his parachute out,
and landed down into the swamps, landing in the mud. For a few minutes he was dazed and confused.
When he finally realized what had just happened, he started looking around and
saw that his copilot (Zack) had landed in some trees a little ways from him. He
still wasn’t thinking clearly and he rushed to help Zack, not thinking about
what the consequences could be, but by the time he had reached him, the Zombies
had already started feeding on Zack. He could see that Zack had blacked out
from his crash in the trees, just then Zack opened his eyes, the Zombie’s had
torn into his stomach and had his intestines strung out. So he decided to shoot
him and put him out of his misery. Luckily the Zombies where so busy feeding
off of Zack they didn’t see him. He knew then he was all alone and was going to
have to fend for himself.
After he got a distance from them. He tried to
see if his radio worked, he noticed it had been smashed from the crash. At
first there wasn’t a response, then later a lady came on, she said she was a
sky watcher and was giving him directions on how he could be rescued, and what
areas to avoid. Her radio name was “Mets”, she was helping direct him through
times when he felt like giving up and ending it all. At that time Mets spoke to
him on the radio and told him to go to high ground and look up, a black dot was
coming from the morning sun. I felt very relieved knowing he was going to be
rescued and safe. And after everything he had been through, even escaping the
hundreds of zombie’s from below the tree where he had been sleeping that night.
If it hadn’t of been for the lady on the radio, he might not have survived. But
she was the one who had supported him and kept his self-esteem and will power
up. Mets informed him he would be safe. To look up. He was relieved, there was a black dot coming
towards him.
After he was retrieved by a large
Cajun man that was just doing a routine Air shuttle, he was returned to his
Base. He called Mets on the radio to let her know he had been rescued and he
was safe and thanked her for everything she had done. After that he never heard
from her again. The base just couldn’t believe his story. So they did a psych evaluation on him, they
couldn’t figure out who he had talked with over the radio. Since the cabin she
said she was living in, just didn’t exist. And his radio had been smashed
before the crash and did not work. This part of the novel got really intense.
This made me want to help him fight off the zombie’s. I felt like I had a part
in helping him to get to his destination to being rescued. About the Mets Lady,
I think she was some kind of phantom pilot that had died in a crash previously,
but still had the will to survive. And helped him to find the will power to
continue and save his own life. She was a loyal person, she felt it was her
responsibility to help him to gain the knowledge and remember his survival
training. Pilots are like soul mates. They stick up for each other and help
each other out through good and bad times. Like brothers and sisters, all one big family.
It was interesting when Mets wouldn’t let him just give up and kept his stamina
up to survive. Especially the Quote,” Are you your Mother”. That made him feel
like a wimp, after that he became strong and he knew then he would
survive.
