Final Project Idea

For my final project I think I am going to do a Prezi presentation? I am going to do a run down about what the controversy is about. Then run around some stories that are centered around the main problem "Guns in households that contain children." I will  talk about my relationship with Sydney's mom and what all she has told me throughout our relationship. Sooo yeah!

Final Project Idea

     My project will discuss what are super bugs, what are we doing right now to deal with them, and what can we do in the future?  Id like to explain what there are and give a definition of exactly what super bugs are.  Then once we know what they are, then id look at the different types of super bugs and how super bugs are just simple bacteria that are mutated from overuse of antibiotics.  Next explain our practices of dealing with this super-bug.  Lastly,tell of the future practices that are being discussed to fix this super bug, and give ideas on what we should based on the information explained. For this project Id like to interview an actual doctor and get his/her point of view on the subject and ask him/her those three simple questions, just mentioned.  I feel interviewing a doctor who has seen this bug in the work place will give that scare factor to the audience and get them thinking on how serious this problem really is.   Id also like to make a model of Streptococcus pyogenes and show how it looks normally and how it was mutated, in super bug form.  Not every person can learn simply by getting thrown all this information but I believe this visual give the listener a genre understanding of what bacteria is and what antibiotics do in order to  mutate a certain bacteria to make it a super bug. This will engage the audience because Step is a common bacterial infection that we all get from time to time.  This topic and project interested me because it will explain what this super bug is and how easy it is for us, as a population, to get these super bugs and be in life threatening situations.  Also, our generation is all about being clean freaks and over using the antibiotic which in the end makes us even more sick.

Final Project

     For my paper I decided to argue that the penalties for graffiti are too harsh, and that they should be reduced. I talked about how legal walls can stem the flow of graffiti into the city, but ultimately graffiti will inhibit a city. For my project I'm going to make a short film, documenting a local writer in the process of doing tags and throws. I'll have narration throughout the video, asking the writer different questions. I'll shed light on what graffiti writers really do, and show how it's not a detriment to society, and the current laws against graffiti shouldn't be as harsh as they are. The laws should be made to get the graffiti removed, not the writer imprisoned and forever branded a felon, depending on the circumstances.

Final Project

My argumentative essay was over the placebo effect and whether the effect is deemed to be deceitful or not. Also, going into depth the research of every single type of placebo. For example it is not always just a sugar pill or saline injection, it can be many more simplified things. Such as, lab tests, physical exams or checkups.  Those being seen as more acceptable or honest. For this next project I plan to make a video explaining the different types of placebos and the popularity of those certain types of placebos. How many doctors actually utilize placebos? Also, if doctors see the use of placebos as dishonest or is they believe it is one of the most honest ways to treat certain patients.  I believe this will relate to college students, starting off because we all go to the doctors, we all get sick, sometimes injured or go through other medical problems. It’s extremely important to be aware of the possible treatments you could potentially receive or bring to light maybe a situation where you were administered a placebo and were unaware. Maybe that is okay for you because it helps or maybe you completely hate the thought of the whole concept. Otherwise it is called a placebo for a reason, you aren’t going to know you are receiving one but maybe the simpler treatments of a placebo like lab test, etc. could be easier to identify if that is what happening. I hope it will be easy to find some things to put together this video but I don’t know how easy this will be!

Final Project

My last research paper was over the topic of divorce. To be more specific the negative effects of divorce on children and how parents can help make the negative effects more positive. For my final project I want to create a short video. In my video I will interview different people (some from school and some from outside of school). In my video I plan to ask them questions like are your parents divorced? Do you think divorce has any negative effects on children and if so name one? Do you think parents can help their children when they get divorced to make the effects more positive. This will engage my target audience of college students because there are a handful of college students with divorced parents and if their parents aren't divorce they at least know someone with divorced parents or they will get married and have a divorce and need to know some tips on how to deal with children. Also it will relate to college age students because there will be college aged students answering the questions in my video. I have also talked to some of the people in this class and their parents are also divorced so I am sure they will find it interesting.I am interested in this topic because my parents are divorced and I believe if my parents would have handled how they told me and the fighting differently that I would have gotten more positive effects out of the divorce rather than negative.

Final Presentation

My final presentation will be based on life after playing in the NFL, and how traumatic brain injury effects players lives. For this I will be using Prezi as my layout. Throughout the presentation I will provide visuals which I can discuss relating to my topic. Along with that there will also be a number of statistics and facts about NFL players afflicted from traumatic brain injury. Like my research and argumentative papers, I will also focus on the psychological and physical effects NFL players could face later in life. In an effort to strengthen my argument I will also talk about some of the struggles unrelated to traumatic brain injury, maybe including a clip from a documentary. The unrelated struggles NFL players have will give a comparison between the players affected from traumatic brain injuries. With visual aid, statistics, and a movie clip I believe this presentation should cater to the learning audience. At the end I hope my presentation will show how traumatic brain injury can have a long term affect on these NFL players lives.

Final Project thing

     I was thinking about making a website that show cases some of the things that ISIS is up to and what they think they are trying to do and how they are doing it.  I will aslo show some of their propaganda and how they are using it to recruit kids and such.  I didn't really understand what youi wanted us to do for this assignment so I am gonna ask some questions after the movie.
