My
previous research was done over the Syrian Refugee Crisis and the Syrian Civil
war. For my final project I want to
create a video that captures everything that has been going on between the
two. I think that it would be very easy
to find video footage and audio from the news stations that have been reporting
on it over the last few years. I am
wondering if I should style it after a question and answer format between
people involved in the crisis or just over a general timeline of the whole
situation. I am leaning toward modeling
the video after a timeline because I think it will be easier for everyone in
the class to follow along with it. I
think the most difficult part will be editing all the video and audio to
exactly how I want it to appear. I want
it to sort of model a movie trailer as well.
A movie trailer that happens to be five minutes long rather than one and
a half. I believe creating a video would
be more engaging for college students rather than giving a speech. Speeches aren’t as fun as making videos as
well, at least in my opinion. For my
video, I also plan on having music in playing in the background at some moments
to lure in the audience just as a movie trailer does. One of the other things I will have to deal
with is creating a good hook for the video.
That’s what a movie trailer is all about; hooking the audience in.
I feel like you could interview some college students so that they could feel more connected to the topic.
