The Last Chapters

The last chapters of this book talk about how terrible the ending was, especially for the people underground in Paris. These people couldn't use firearms because the air was explosive, some got night vision goggles but were better off with flashlights because there was a lack of batteries. Then the last chapter goes on about how everywhere is happy and peaceful since the zombies were gone and the war was over, claiming that it feels like a dream. A lot of the vets are still really badly messed up from it but thats what is expected.
A part that I really enjoyed about these was about the dogs who helped out. There was a whole place merely for these dogs ran by a man named Darnell Hackworth, who took care of retired war dogs. They tried to make a rule that when a dog gets hurt they just blow it up but luckily that didn't pass!
