In this book it seems like they are always sending people to die. Making things harder they don't have a clear safe zone, they just wait for zombies to come attack them at all hours. One smart thing they did do was use dogs as decoys for the echo to get zombies to move in a different direction. The toxic smell in the air was horrible to breath in. It got to the point of the air being so flammable they stopped using guns because they were afraid one spark would blow them up. In the end a man explained that the people won the war against the zombies and women began using their uterus to repopulate.
What interest me about this book is the fact that people turn on each other, if people would have worked together in this book, some many people wouldn't have died.
